How To Counter Nilah in 'League of Legends'? Basics, Best Heroes To Pick, and MORE!

Riot Games still hasn't released Nilah, the upcoming character in "League of Legends." Although this is the case, many gaming experts already shared how to counter this new hero.

But, before we go to the major details, you need to know the things about this new hero. Nilah is expected to arrive this coming July 13, which is also the release date of "LoL" Patch 12.13.

On the other hand, Riot Games will also release this new champion during the upcoming Star Guardian summer event. Now that you know her release date, here are her basic skills.

'League of Legends' Nilah

According to The Gamer HQ's report, Nilah will be the first hero in the Summoner's Rift to have melee and long-range attack setup.

This means that she will easily deal with ranged, as well as closeup battles. Based on this information, she will be used in the bottom lane.

But, you can also use her as a jungle hero. To help you further, here are all her abilities:

Passive (Joy Unending)

• Increases the healing and shielding abilities of her teammates.

First Skill (Formless Blade)

• In active form, Formless Blade allows her to damage all enemies in one line. While using this skill, her range will also increase. In passive form, Nilah will convert 2% of all the damage she deals against other heroes into health.

Second Skill (Jubilant Veil)

• Her second skill will offer a shield that grants bonus movement speed. It can also reduce the magic damage she receives from enemy heroes. When her allies enter the veil, they will become invisible for a short period.

Third Skill (Slipstream)

• Slipstream allows Nilah to go through enemy heroes, which will deal a huge amount of damage as she passes through them.

Last Skill (Apotheosis)

• Nilah's last skill will unleash a powerful surge around her, damaging enemy heroes nearby. This will also heal her, reducing the damage she receives and converting them into a shield.

How To Counter Nilah? 

Since Nilah is a good hero against mage characters, then you need to use heroes that rely on physical damage. You also need to have champions on your team that have great crowd control (CC) abilities. 

Dot Esport provided some of the best counters you can use against Nilah: 

Caitlyn (can easily poke Nilah from afar) 

Lulu (can outshield Nilah when it comes to 1v1 fights or clashes) 

Thresh (can easily control the movement of Nilah, allowing you and your teammates to kill her as soon as possible) 

Ezreal (Ezreal deals both magic and physical damage. Just like Caitlyn, he can deal tons of damage against Nilah while maintaining their distance)
