The controversial Call of Duty Warzone operator Roze, whose "RooK" skin basically allows her to blend into the shadows, has been nerfed by the developers in pursuit of a more level playing field.
According to a report by GamesRadar, Raven Software has been forced to issue another nerf after a similar nerf last year was overturned by a subsequent update - coupled with the addition of the new map Rebirth Island, alongside a new gulag. That aforementioned nerf reportedly failed to make Roze's Rook skin brighter, which allowed her to blend into the shadows and make the game feel unbalanced for so many players.
Here is a recent gameplay video featuring the controversial COD Warzone skin on Roze, which makes her almost impossible to see in the heat of the action:
All the player did was turn a corner at speed, which made the completely miss the Roze just camping there. She is, indeed, tough to spot and might have led to so many Warzone players just cursing at their screens at the top of their lungs.
As per the patch notes, developer Raven Software says it has given the Roze outfit a 70% adjustment to its overall brightness (via Dexerto). Aside from that, they also made a few changes to the lighting on the equally infamous Caldera map, which basically allowed her outfit to become "out of balance" with other operators used by players.
Raven had this to say about the changes as well:
"Just like our weapon balance, we are very conscious that our Operator meta plays an equally important role in the second-to-second gameplay health so this change was necessary."
But even if Raven is already nerfing the controversial Rook Roze skin in COD Warzone, some players are still worried about other operators having the same problem as that one, as reported by NME. For now, it remains to be seen whether the nerfs will indeed finally balance things out.

What Else Was Changed In The New Call Of Duty Warzone Patch?
Of course, Raven didn't just do something with the Rook skin for Roze. There are a bunch of other changes that look to fix long-lingering issues. You can check out the full patch notes on Raven Software's website, but here are the most notable changes.
In Quality Of Life improvements, Call of Duty Warzone finally gets an expanded squad HUD that allows teams of players to better see the status of their entire squad. Players can now see Total Squad Cash, alongside two icons that will indicate two things: whether a Squad can afford a Loadout Drop, and when Player Buyback costs have been met.
Aside from that, there's also a new Armor Plate counter added to each Squad member. This will allow players to see through others when they say they "have no plates left." To cap things off, the patch also added Possession icons for Kill Streak, Self-Revive, Gulag Entry and Redeploy Extraction Tokens, Keycards, and Gas Mask.
