#SteamSpotlight Feature: Space Engineers
Developed and published by Keen Software House, Space Engineers is an open world sandbox game set in — you guessed it — outer space.
According to its Steam page, the game focuses heavily on the "engineering, construction, exploration and survival in space and on planets." What this pretty much means is that the player can build space ships, space stations, wheeled vehicles, and more.
Players can also travel through space and explore other planets. How does the player to that? By piloting ships, of course! The planets and moons that you will find in the game have their own climates, atmospheres, and more.
Players can also customize their character by choosing skin tones and more.

What Beginner Players Have to Know
Space Engineers has both single-player and multiplayer. The latter, in particular, can accommodate up to 16 players and the player even has the option of choosing a privacy option: offline, private, friends only, or public.
The game also has two game modes. The first of which is the Creative mode, which features instant building, unlimited resources, and no death. The second game mode is the Surviva mode. This mode lets the player experience manual building, death, respawn, and more.
There are also new game options that have been made available: scenarios, workshop worlds, and custom worlds.

Steam Reviews for Space Engineers
Space Engineers has more than 80,000 user reviews on Steam. These reviews are described as "Very Positive" by the platform.
"What started out as a budding open-world survival sandbox has quickly become one of the most intricate and detailed sandbox titles out there," a Steam user going by the name coert18 said in a review. The user also praised the game for its exponential growth ever since it was released on Early Access back in 2013.
Another Steam user going by the name Ape Mode has described Space Engineers as "incredibly addictive" in a separate review.
"The gameplay is amazing, the ship building is an absolutely blast, and then using your ships is even more of a blast," the review adds.
