Behesda has just sent over the following cinematic trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online. The MMO version of one of the most popular role-playing games of all time is now available for PC and Mac at retailers and online. Developed by ZeniMax Online Studios, the game features many of the races and locations from the game and offers you a massive world to explore, along with the chance to clash with hundreds of other players in PVP combat.
Titled "The Siege", this launch trailer is most certainly not representitive of how the game will look or play, but it is pretty damn exciting and offers what's easily the best epic fantasy battle since the Battle of Pellanor Fields from The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. This is five and a half minutes of brutal warfare, and one perfect way for the game to announce its presence.
"We are grateful for the overwhelming response to The Elder Scrolls Online," said Matt Firor, Game Director of The Elder Scrolls Online. "With 5 million people registered for beta, it's clear that a large number of fans are eager to jump online and experience everything the game has to offer. We couldn't be more excited to get it into everyone's hands."
If you somehow weren't one of the people who got a beta invite, today's your day. Don't forget that the Xbox One and PS4 versions of The Elder Scrolls Online will be hitting in June- along with the game's regular $15 monthly subscription fee you'll have to pay for Xbox Live on the Xbox One, although the PS4 version won't require PS Plus.
