"Pokemon GO" introduced the Lush Jungle event this week along with other Pokemon which thrive in the Alola region. One of them is Fomantis, a Grass Sickle Pokemon who will eventually become Laurantis.
In the mainline Pokemon games, particularly in Sun, Moon, and their Ultra counterparts, evolving this creature is pretty easy. In "Pokemon GO," there are different mechanics that you need to follow to succeed in evolving it.
To get started, here's how it works in Niantic's AR mobile game.
How to Evolve Fomantis into Lurantis
In Akala Island, Fomantis' first stage evolution Lurantis is one of the strongest Totem Pokemon that you will encounter. If you have already played "Pokemon Sun and Moon," you know that this struggle is one tough challenge for everyone.
For the part of "Pokemon Go," getting a Lurantis is easy to do. According to a report by Sportskeeda, you will need 50 Fomantis candies to evolve it into a bug-like Pokemon. That's the first requirement that you need to follow.
Since the Season of Alola event has bolstered the spawn rate for all Grass-type Pokemon, take this opportunity as an ideal time to catch Fomantis. It should be noted that since Fomantis just arrived in the game, you need to remember that it has a larger spawn rate compared to the previous Pokemon.
For those who keep on grinding non-stop for rare candies, there's another trick that you can try to increase the amount of candy that you can obtain for every catch.
You can double the number of rare candies by using Pinap Berries. You can earn up to seven candies for every catch that you make. In short, you will only need to catch eight Fomantis to get 50 Fomantis candies.
Without reliance on this method, you should instead get 17 Fomantis to obtain the same amount of rare candies. That's too stressful on your part, especially if you are rushing to evolve Fomantis.
Another requirement to get Lurantis is to wait for daytime. This is the best moment to evolve Fomantis into a more powerful Pokemon. Just imagine evolving an Eevee during that time only to get an Espeon.
Other than that, it's worth mentioning that both Yungoos and Rockruff can also evolve based on the current time. To be exact, you will need to wait between 8:00 A.M. and 7:59 P.M. to evolve Fomantis into Lurantis in "Pokemon GO."

How to Evolve Rockruff and Yungoos
For an additional tip, you can evolve Yungoos and Gumshoos by gathering 50 Yungoos rare candies. Don't forget to do the same trick that you accomplish with Fomantis, which is exposing it during the daytime.
Meanwhile, evolving Rockruff can be pretty challenging since you have two options: you can evolve it as Midday Lycanroc or Midnight Lycanroc.
According to Dot Esports, you can evolve Rockruff into its Midday form by evolving it between sunrise and sunset. If you want to obtain a Midnight version, you need to do that between sunset and sunrise.
