"Pokemon GO" is set to have a pretty exciting April if the content update Niantic has given is any indication.
Some of the things included in the April 2022 content update are limited time events, a list of legendary Pokemon that will be part of the five-star raids, and more.
Here is everything you have to know about what to expect from "Pokemon GO" this April:
'Pokemon GO' April 2022 Update: Limited Time Events, Pokemon Spotlight Hour
"Pokemon GO" players are set to have a pretty exciting April from the looks of things. In fact, Niantic has shared its plans for the mobile game for next month.
According to the announcement posted on the "Pokemon GO" website, players can expect four limited time events for April. The available details are as follows:
- April Fools' 2-Oh?-22 - Scheduled to take place on April 1
- All-Hands Rocket Retreat - Scheduled to take place from April 3 to 7
- Spring into Spring - A themed event scheduled to take place from April 12 to 18
- Sustainability Week - Scheduled to take place from April 20 to 25
An article by GameSpot also reports that a Pokemon Spotlight Hour is likewise scheduled to take place every Tuesday. It will happen from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time. According to GameSpot, "Each week featuring a different Pokemon more frequently in the wild with a special bonus to match."
Here is the list of Pokemon that will be given its spotlight for April on "Pokemon GO":
- April 5 - Stunky
- April 12 - Bunnelby
- April 19 - Oddish
- April 26 - Sunshine Form Cherrim

Five-Star Raids, Mega Raids, and Raid Hours
Niantic has also announced the Pokemon that will appear in five-star raids as well as Mega Raids for April. Specifically, it was highlight by the "Pokemon GO" announcement that Legendary Pokemon Tapu Bulu is set to make its five-star raid debut.
The following are the Pokemon set to feature in the five-star raids:
- Tapu Lele - Until April 5
- Therian Forme Thundurus - From April 5 to 12
- Tapu Bulu - April 12 to 26
- Therian Forme Landorus - April 26 to May 3
The following are the Pokemon set to feature in the Mega Raids:
- Mega Charizard Y - Until April 5
- Mega Manectric - From April 5 to 12
- Mega Pidgeot - From April 12 to 29
- Unknown Pokemon - From April 29 to May 3
It should be noted that rotations begin and end at 10 a.m. local time on the dates provided for both five-star raids and Mega Raids.
Raid Hour events are also scheduled to take place for the month of April. According to the announcement on the "Pokemon GO" website, it will happen every Wednesday at 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
Here are the Pokemon that will feature:
- April 6 - Therian Forme Thunderus
- April 13 - Tapu Bulu
- April 20 - Tapu Bulu
- April 27 - Therian Forme Landorus
