"Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League," which was supposed to be released this year, has been announced to be delayed to 2023. According to the video game developer Rocksteady Studios, it will be pushed through until the spring of next year.
'Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League' Delay
Before focusing on the development of the new action-adventure game, Rocksteady Studios previously created "Batman: Arkham Knight." The new "Suicide Squad" installment will be the continuation of the Batman project.
As Sefton Hill tweeted out in his recent post on Twitter, the "Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice" will be delayed to Spring 2023.
We've made the difficult decision to delay Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League to Spring 2023. I know a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can. I look forward to bringing the chaos to Metropolis together. Thanks for your patience. pic.twitter.com/VOSwTM6Zak

Suicide Squad' Sequel Delay 'Not Surprising'
Despite the confirmation of the game's delay from Rocksteady, some fans appeared to be unfazed by the fact that it will be moved into the next year.
An early report from Bloomberg said that WB Games hinted at the postponement of the video game in 2023 a month ago. This time, the report proved that the plan to delay the game's release was true, just like many people speculated.
One potential reason why WB Games wants to move "Suicide Squad's" launch next year is because of its fully-loaded schedule. Comicbook reported that the entertainment giant is focusing on "LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga," and it's pushing to launch "Batman: Gotham Knights'' this upcoming October.
Aside from that, the company is also preparing to introduce "Hogwarts Legacy" for this year's holiday. Given the gravity of the current game lineup, it's no question why WB Games doesn't want to publish the game for 2022 immediately.
This would give more breathing room for Rocksteady to add several improvements for the upcoming "Suicide Squad" title.
'Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League' Gameplay and Characters
As revealed by Hill, the gameplay of the upcoming DC game will be inspired by the "Arkham" games and shooting games.
PCGamer reported that the player can customize and upgrade their villain's weapons in-game. To add, this would be an open-world adventure wherein you can see the Metropolis in its full spectrum.
There will be four starters for the characters, including King Shark, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and of course, Harley Quinn. Superman from the "Justice League" is expected to be one of the strongest villains in the game.
Either way, you can choose Solo or Co-op mode for your gaming. If you want to play with your friends, you can opt for the latter option.
