Xbox Cloud Gaming is finally getting a desirable feature for players who do not want to use touch controls on their mobile devices.
Microsoft will be bringing a mouse and keyboard support to have another option aside from gamepads during gaming sessions.
Keyboard & Mouse Support on Xbox Cloud Gaming
Microsoft Flight Simulator head Jorg Neumann announced that the special support feature will soon arrive on the cloud gaming platform a few months from now.
According to Neumann, the next step for the company will be the "platform-level" support involving mouse-keyboard. He mentioned that the team is currently working on this feature.
As of press time, the mobile tech specialist did not disclose any information about the exact date for its launch. Since the output will be based on the team, he said that he could not give a date or know it.
In a bold statement, Neumann said that it might come sometime in June, citing that he was still quite unsure about it.
In an interview with The Verge, a Microsoft representative spoke that the mouse and keyboard support was indeed on its way to the Xbox Cloud Gaming.
"At launch, Microsoft Flight Simulator supports standard controller inputs for cloud gaming. The team is experimenting with touch/gyro and is excited to embrace M&K once it's available on the platform but we have no specific announcements or timing to share at this time," the spokesperson confirmed the news to the tech publication.
At the time of writing, the Flight Simulator can now be accessed by people who have subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Just make sure that you need to have a strong internet connection for that.
Eurogamer, in another report, wrote that Neumann mentioned flight simming. He highlighted that it was a special genre for PC users which requires a high-spec PC to initiate.
So far, we know that Microsoft's cloud gaming platform can allow users to play games everywhere regardless of whether it's on Xbox One, Series S|X, tablet, PC, or phone.
Specifically, there's an exemption for PC players. To play a game from this platform, you need to have a compatible controller. Meanwhile, those individuals who are more inclined in mobile gaming will rely on touch controls.

Mouse and Keyboard Support as a Gaming Improvement
Per Techradar's analysis, the newest mouse & keyboard support for the Xbox Cloud Gaming will be a huge improvement on Microsoft's part. While the platform has a lot of games to showcase, some of them are reportedly incompatible just because of the controllers.
Still, the peripheral support is a big upgrade for the Xbox gamers who want to stick to the convenient usage of the computer accessories.
