The "Cyberpunk 2077" next-gen upgrade is here. And apparently, it's getting a little bit of love from players due to how many big changes it brings to the table.
Coming in at a massive 60GB, Update 1.5 has implemented so many fixes to the otherwise "unfinished game." Among these changes include overhauls to the AI, a new police chase feature, new customization options, and a whole lot of good stuff that was notably absent from the initial release.
GamesRadar reports that the changes have been relatively praised on the game's subreddit, but it seems like players mostly like the reworked AI, which helps make the game world feel more "responsive" and "alive." One post on the "Cyberpunk" subreddit features a video of a police chase--a feature that was completely nonexistent from the old version with the 1.31 patch:
That post has earned around 2.8k upvotes at the time of this writing, with comments indicating that players are hopeful for the arrival of more immersive updates.
Another video featuring the reworked AI for "Cyberpunk 2077" next-gen shows how the police, once again, are reacting to a civilian shooting on the street:
Both of these new features are a massive jump from how "Cyberpunk" used to handle its police AI. In the past, cops would literally just spawn from behind V mere seconds after they committed a crime. Now, they seem to react far more realistically to player actions.
Among the other reworked content for "Cyberpunk" that players seem to like include the romance options. For instance, Judy and Panam now feature more dialogue, and players will occasionally wake up beside them in the apartment after going to sleep. Some players were even posting steamy texts they get from their romance options, but the images are too NSFW to share here.
The next-gen update for "Cyberpunk 2077" is already out for the PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.

What Other Folks Are Saying About 'Cyberpunk 2077' Next-Gen
PushSquare recently wrote about the 1.5 update, saying that with it, "Cyberpunk 2077" finally feels like a "finished game." Their claim was mostly due to how CDPR reworked the game to take advantage of the PS5's features better.
Among the things they liked was how the game looks and feels compared to the last-gen version. Now, "Cyberpunk" runs at dynamic 4K, basically locked at 60 FPS. Aside from that, Night City seems to be better populated and busier, and here's one massive change: drivers now drive around parked vehicles, which was one of the things that annoyed most players with the last-gen release.
As for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, performance and visuals are also improved across the board. Not to mention, all next-gen consoles and PC also got reworked skill trees and progression, with CDPR removing any skills that weren't too useful in-game, as per this report from IGN:
PC players, however, might still run into some problems regarding Update 1.5. As shown in this video by YouTuber OhNoItsAlexx, DLSS implementation in the game is apparently broken due to NVIDIA driver issues:
All in all, it looks like CDPR did a relatively better job with "Cyberpunk 2077" next-gen. But is the game finally fixed? Well, that's for you to decide.
