In the new game mode, according to the patch notes posted on the game's website, two teams of 24 Operators will clash in a Deathmatch.

After dropping in the map, each Operator will have access to their Custom Loadout of weapons and a Field Upgrade.
Each of the kills during the Caldera Clash will earn the team a point. The first team that reaches a set number of points or has the most points when the time limit expires will win.
During the Caldera Clash game mode, players will use the Power Zones on the map while collecting Point Crates.
If they kill their opponent inside the Power Zones, they will be awarded a double-point boost, while power-up drops coming from a kill will have a 100% chance to occur.
Point Crates, on the other hand, will be dropped across the center of the map. Each of these crates will give 10 Points once it is captured.
They will also give items such as Nebula V rounds, in-game cash, and several power weapons.
Aside from including the Caldera Clash game mode, the patch update also brought back the Iron Trials to the Rebirth Island.
A Battle Royale game mode where the last team standing wins, this version of Iron Trials also has new fundamental changes that give the players a chance to prove themselves.
Finally, Resurgence also returned in Call of Duty: Warzone for Season 2. The game mode now has unrestricted access to all Operators and Weapon Loadouts, along with additional improvements.
Weapon, Gameplay Adjustments
The Season 2 Update also adjusted several Call of Duty: Warzone's weapons. According to Dexerto, the update decreased the upper arm and lower torso damage multipliers from 1.1 to 1.0.
It also increased the recoil deviation and magnitude of the C58 AR, making it harder to hit shots, while it decreased the ADS speed of the STG-44 AR from 0.255 to 0.26.
The update also decreased the Maximum and Mid Damage Ranges of the MP40 and the Welgun submachine guns.
On the other hand, the Season 2 Update increased the bullet velocity and all of the damage ranges of the Top Break Pistol and the ADS Movement Speed of the 3-Line Rifle.
The update also made adjustments to Call of Duty: Warzone's gameplay. Gamespot tweaked the Aim Assist to make it scale appropriately and will not cause an unintended increase of its strength.
It also changed the Armor Plates to prioritize refilling one of them before filling partially damaged ones. The Ascenders make players exit from it after pressing the Jump Button and the Gasoline Canisters to make them no longer detonate when stun grenades hit them.
