LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JUNE 09: Shinji Mikami, Director at Tango Gameworks, reveals 'Ghostwire Tokyo' during the Bethesda E3 Showcase at The Shrine Auditorium on June 09, 2019 in Los Angeles, California.

In a previous interview with VG247, Mikami said that fans would surely love a remake for "Resident Evil 4." He praised that this news was a good thing after all, but it still needs some polishing to make it more appealing to the players.

The Japanese video game designer told the news outlet if Capcom does a great job for the game and makes its story more interesting, it would turn out well and exciting.

Mikami also wrote it out regarding the game's script besides directing the game. However, he seemed to be disappointed with the outcome of his writing because he was restricted by the deadline.

According to the 56-year-old producer, it was rush work that he finished for three weeks.

'Resident Evil 4' is a Game-Changer in Video Games

After all these years, "RE4" still remained as one of the most unforgettable games of all time. It was notable for introducing the "over-the-shoulder" camera angle, which players found unique, to begin with.

Kotaku wrote in its report that "Resident Evil" has combined the first-person shooters with a pulled-back perspective. The game's emphasis revolves around its protagonist, Leon, who was momentarily devising a plan to get out of the dangerous city.

Unlike other previous titles, "RE4" shone because it presented Leon's movements and body from a very keen perspective. On top of that, there's a clear action experience through the over-the-shoulder camera.

Currently, Mikami is working for Tango Gameworks, the studio behind "Ghostwire: Tokyo." In the meantime, he is allowing the writers to submit their game scripts with a deadline of more than three weeks.

As of the remakes, the version that "Resident Evil 3" adapted in 2020 has slightly altered the role of Brad. There, his companion perished and came back to life as a zombie. Later, the infected partner bit Marvin Branagh.

Indeed, Mikami's take on the potential "RE4" remake or make it or break it for Capcom. With the creator's suggestion, the Osaka-based publisher can now take notes on how it can level up its story to the highest level.
