Feb. 4--miHoYo announced Yae Miko's debut in Genshin Impact as part of its Version 2.5 Update.
The chief shrine maiden of the Grand Narukami Shrine will bring in her abilities as a 5-Star Catalyst-wielding Electro character to dish out continuous damage to her enemies on the battlefield.
But before acquiring her in the game's Character Banners, players of the multiplayer online role-playing game need to understand first her moveset that she will be using.
They will also need to find the best weapon and Artifact Set for her to wield to maximize her capabilities.
Yae Miko's Abilities
miHoYo confirmed that Yae Miko is a 5-Star Electro character that wields a Catalyst. But before the announcement, several leakers revealed the abilities she would bring to the battlefield. This was after the developers initiated a beta test for the character.
Her Spiritfox Sin-Eater Normal Attack, according to PCGamesN, lets her summon kitsune spirits that can make up to three attacks on opponents. Each of their attacks can deal Electro damage.
If she charges the attack with a certain amount of stamina, she can deal area-of-effect (AoE) Electro damage after a short casting time. If she plunges from mid-air while using the attack, she can also deal AoE Electro damage upon impact.
Her Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura Elemental Skill lets her move swiftly in and out of the battlefield, leaving behind a Sesshou Sakura.
These traps can periodically strike a nearby opponent, dealing them Electro damage. If there are other Sesshou Sakura nearby, their level will increase while their damage is boosted.
Yae Miko can leave up to three Sesshou Sakura on the field simultaneously. Each will have a minimum level of one and a maximum level of three.
Her Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin Elemental Burst, according to RealSport101.com, let her summon a lightning bolt from the sky that deals AoE Electro damage towards her opponents.
During the time that she casts the Elemental Burst, all of the nearby Sesshou Sakura will be transformed into Sky Kitsune Thunderbolts that can also deal AoE Electro damage. For each Sesshou Sakura transformed this way, another lightning bolt will come from the sky.
Best Weapons, Artifact Set
When it comes to equipping weapons for this character, most players want the signature weapon, Kagura's Verity because it maximizes her abilities.
According to Honey Hunter World, a 5-Star Catalyst that is only available through a limited-time-only Weapon Banner, Kagura's Verity, has a Base Attack of 46 on Level 1 (608 on Level 90) and can deal 14.4 Critical Damage on Level 1 (66.2 on Level 90).
The Catalyst also gives the wielder a buff that increases its Elemental Skill damage by 12%/15%/18%/21%/24% for 16 seconds. This effect can be stacked up to three times.
If the effect is stacked for the third time, it will gain additional 12%/15%/18%/21%/24% Elemental damage.
Suppose they cannot afford the Weapon Banner. In that case, there are budget alternatives for her, including the Solar Pearl, a 4-Star Catalyst that can increase hew Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage by 20%/25%/30%/35%/40% for six seconds if her Normal Attack hits.
Another budget alternative is the Sacrificial Fragments, another 4-Star Catalyst that can give her Elemental Skill a 40%/50%/60%/70%/80% chance to end its cooldown after it deals damage to an opponent. This effect can occur once every 30/26/22/19/16 seconds.
The Emblem of Severed Fate set is a good choice in terms of what Artifact set they can give to Yae Miko.
It can give an additional 20% Energy Recharge if she is equipped with only two Artifact pieces and an Elemental Burst damage boost by 25% of her Energy Recharge if she has four pieces.
