'CoD Vanguard' Patch 1.11 Update Guide: What Fixes to Expect + Other Issues Known Unaddressed

Sledgehammer Games released the patch notes for Call of Duty: Vanguard's Patch 1.11 Update, which fixed several issues within the multiplayer online shooting game. These include those that affected the stability of its Xbox version and other bugs.

However, the patch update did not completely fix a bug within the game's Search & Destroy mode, while it also recognized other problems that the developers need to investigate.

Major Bug Fixes

One of the things that the Patch 1.11 Update fixed was the Call of Duty: Vanguard's stability on Xbox consoles.

According to DBLTap, several improvements were made to reduce the chances of it getting crashed when entering a Quick Play, Feature Playlist, or Private Match.

It also fixed several bugs that caused issues, such as Xbox controller settings switching to Mouse and Keyboard after disconnecting, crashing issues during the voting sequence for the match MVP, and the nameplates of enemy players that occasionally not displaying in the game.

According to WePC, the bug fixes came after Sledgehammer Games received several complaints for weeks.

The patch update also fixed several issues with the game's Missions, including a glitch within the Stalingrad Mission.

According to Express, some players doing the mission were stuck in a death loop after taking too long to get to the sewer.

It also fixed a bug within Operation Tonga that could cause the game to freeze and crash when they shoot an enemy in the field. It also fixed a progression blocker that causes Misha to become unresponsive.

Unresolved Issues

Despite the fix for the Xbox consoles, the Patch 1.11 Update did not resolve a major issue within Call of Duty: Vanguard's Search & Destroy game mode that caused its players to hear their opponents planting or defusing the bomb.

According to Dexerto, instead of muting the audio cues, it became silent for those approaching the bomb site. However, everyone else who is near can still hear it.

As of this writing, Sledgehammer Games did not post anything regarding the issue within the Search & Destroy mode.

However, they posted on their Trello board several known issues within the game's Global and Multiplayer that they need to investigate.

These issues include one where several players cannot unlock a Gold or Diamond Welgun after completing all of the Weapon Challenges and a bug within the Party matchmaking that resulted in occasional party disbandment during post-match.

They are also investigating a known issue where the kills from Attack and Guard Dogs are not tracked against Challenges for all players and a bug that caused several of them who hit Prestige Master and own custom mods not to edit their classes.

They are also trying to fix several glitches in the game, such as High Alert perk that instantly activates without any enemies appearing in the user's line of sight, and the Cold-Blooded perk, where the Aim Assist glitch toggles on and off when engaging an enemy.

Finally, they are investigating another glitch that causes some destructible walls to be indestructible after running at them with tactical sprint.
