In Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, players will submerge themselves in the digitalized version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG), and playing it with others using their decks that they have made as they progress in the game.
In total, there are more than 10,000 cards available in Master Duels, all of which can be obtained through Card Packs. Once obtained, they can either add them in their decks or create a new one out of them.
However, there are cards that can redefine its metagame, all of which are hidden within Master Duel's "Secret Packs." These unique card packs are the only way they can get said cards, especially if they want those that have higher rarity.
'Secret Packs' Explained
As mentioned earlier, the Secret Packs are the only way players will have a guaranteed chance to have rare powerful cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. These card packs, according to Upcomer, are the easiest and most cost-effective way for them to get said cards for any specific deck that they want to build.
But in order to have said packs, they must first access the game's Regular Pack Shop, where they need to buy Standard Card Packs using the Gems that they have acquired through either accomplishing several Solo Missions or competing in Ranked Duels. A card pack would cost them 100 Gems.
These card packs will contain eight cards, with one of them are either a Super Rare on an Ultra Rare card. Once they bought and opened one, the card with the said rarities will drop a key, which they can use to allow themselves access to the Secret Pack that is associated with that card.
To further increa their chances in getting one, they can also buy a Card Pack Bundle, which costs 1,000 Gems.
They can also get the said keys from crafting a card, which they can actually receive a free card pack if they successfully unlock one for the first time.
Once they opened said packs, they will have a heavily increased chance at pulling high rarity cards, especially ones that they need.
However, according VG247.com, they will be only available for at least 24 hours after they unlocked them, which means they need to grind in order to collect more Gems.
Secret Packs Available
One of the Secret Packs that are available to be unlocked in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, according to Try Hard Guides, is the "Darkest Magics" pack, which contains cards that are based on Muto Yugi's ace monster, Dark Magician.
Aside from the Level 7 DARK Spellcaster-Type "ultimate wizard in terms of attack of defense," which has 2500 ATK and 2100 DEF, the pack also has Dark Magician Girl, Dark Magical Circle, The Eye of Timaeus, and Palladium Oracle Mahad.
Another Secret Pack that they can acquire is "The Azure in the Ivory," which contains cards that are related to Kaiba Seto's ace card, Blue-Eyes White Dragon. This can be a perfect card pack for those who chose the Power of Dragon Structure Deck from the beginning.
The said card pack includes Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon, Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon, The White Stone of Ancients, The White Stone of Legend, and Bingo Machine, Go!!!
Other Secret Packs that are available in the game are "The First Heroes" for Elemental HERO, "Celestial Dragon and Bear" for Drytron, "Enchanted Threads of Shade" for Shaddoll, "Singular Strike Overthrow" for Sky-Striker, and "Cyber City Guardians" for Virtual World. These card packs are perfect for those who want to build meta decks.
