Krafton and Tencent Games released the patch notes for PUBG Mobile's Patch 1.8 Update, which brought in Spider-Man to the mobile version of the multiplayer online battle royale.
Aside from the appearance of the web-slinging superhero from Marvel, the said patch update also had additions and changes to several of the game's elements, including the "Aftermath" map for its Classic Mode, as well as improvements, balance changes, and issue fixes.
Here Comes Spider-Man
As mentioned earlier, the Patch 1.8 Update had brought in Spider-Man and his elements in the battle royale in a form of a new Themed Game Mode.

According to the patch notes posted in the game's website, the said game mode had changed the maps for the Classic Mode into Erangel - Spider Man and Livik - Spider-Man during a limited time period.
During the match, players need to help Spider-Man defeat mysterious monsters, as well as the Mylta Power Boss, in order to get two exclusive items, the Web Shooter and the Spiderweb Ball, all of which they can use to slow down players who will get hit.
Aside from that, they will also find Spider Crates, which will give them basic supplies, as well as Spider-Man-themed items.
Aside from the Spider-Man-themed Game Mode, the patch update started a new Cycle 2 Season 4, which brought in new Story Missions that are themed after Jujutsu Kaisen anime series. In these Story Missions, they must need to collect Sukuna Fingers in order to unlock commemorative titles.
The new Cycle Season also brought in new rewards in a form of free high-quality supplies, which they can get after collecting certain amounts of Diamond, Crown, or Ace Badges.
Along with the said new season is the new Royale Guard Royale Pass, which it will give rewards such as themed finishes for the M16A4 rifle, the DP28 light machine gun, the Uzi submachine gun, and the 2-Seat Motorcycle, as well as the Desert Warrior Set.
Improvements and Fixes
Aside from the aforementioned additions, the Patch 1.8 Update also improved several of the multiplayer online battle royale's mechanics, which according to RealSport101.com, includes an added ability for players to continue swimming in a near-death state, an additional Hit Marker feature that can be enabled, and an ability to do an auto-jump.
It also improved several of its gameplay elements, which according to Sportskeeda, includes the ability that they can aim and control their firearms easier, while they will be equipped with Tactical Glasses, which they can see how much the damage they have dealt after firing.
It also reduced the urban area size and the density Playzone, while it added a new interactive zipline that they can use to move from one Playzone to the other, and a Recall System that gives them a chance to return their teammates to the battlefield once using the Recall Tower.
It also gave balance changes to several of the game's firearms. The MG3 machine gun will have its default shooting mode modified to 660 RPM and its recoil increased by 10%, while the M16A4 and the MK47 assault rifles will have an added tracer effects to their bullets, and a 10% decrease to their recoil.
Finally, it also fixed several in-game issues, which according to Gamespot, includes one that fixes the issue causes footsteps to not appear when carrying a wounded player, as well as one that fixes the effect display error for several weapons.
It also fixed an issue that causes the volume for the in-game voice to not be adjusted on the Settings page, and an issue that causes the matchmaking details popup window to become impossible to hide.
