Patrick Redding, who most recently was the director of Splinter Cell: Blacklist, is apparently on the move from Ubisoft Toronto as creative director to take up the same helm with Warner Bros. Montreal.
The change in position was tracked down by Kotaku's Superannuation, which showed up on Redding's LinkedIn profile.
His profile also states that he was the creative director on an "unannounced title" for Ubisoft Toronto, meaning that he is leaving an unnamed game to be supervised by someone else.
Now the speculation can begin about just what Redding will be working on with Warner Bros., but the smart money is probably on another Batman: Arkham Origins title. Rocksteady is finished with the franchise after the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight, but the franchise itself will likely continue with sequels to Origins.
It's also possible that Redding could be there to head an all-new project, since Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition for Wii U are the only two AAA games that the studio has put out to date.
Previous to Blacklist, Redding had headed up the Splinter Cell: Conviction co-op and worked on three Far Cry titles in an almost 10-year career with Ubisoft.
