According to sources, Amazon mistakenly pushed the official page for "Darksiders 3" live before an official announcement was made. Shortly after the leak, the developers shared the first official trailer for the series new installment that showcased a new protagonist called Fury. The trailer and concept art for the game reveals that the new protagonist wields a whip as her main weapon. She will also have the ability to shift forms that grant her new weapons, attacks and abilities, says Game Rant.
According to the Amazon listing, "Darksiders 3" will feature an open-world approach this time around and a "free-form" adventure. Fury is tasked to battle the Seven Deadly Sins in order to restore the balance between good and evil. Gamers claim that the third installment will feature a story that takes place after the first game. Fans will also be glad to know that the development team handling the game is made of up former members of Vigil Games.
The game is reportedly being published by THQ Nordic, whose re-emergence according to reports raised rumors of "Darksiders 3".
