"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" world is really huge so instead of walking, Link may tame horses, seals and deers to speed up his journey. Take note that stealth and stamina are necessary to tame horses in the game. In the meantime, the game just got a day-one update.
Stables Offer More Than Just A Resting Place
Take note that horses may not be encountered at once in the game, but are located once the protagonist gets out of the first area. In addition, an important part of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" are the stables scattered throughout Hyrule. Link may replenish his lives in stables or pass the time for a modest price, US Gamer reported.
Furthermore, a travelling insect salesman in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" may be found in each stable. In addition, Link may accept several side quests to help him gain rupees for his journey. The painter Pikango may also give hints on the locations found in the Sheikah Slate to restore some of Link's memories.
As for horses, note that up to 5 tamed horses may be registered in the stables for 20 rupees each. Note that the horses may be taken out at any other stable in Hyrule. Now for taming horses in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," Link needs to be stealthy and approach the horse from behind slowly, then hop onto it when the A command appears.
The elixir or food increases stealth as does putting away anything metal. If the horse acts up, Link may soothe it using the L button but note that once stamina is depleted, Link will be kicked off the horse. Finally, the horses in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" differ from each other, since horses with high stamina may run at top speed for longer but may not turn well. On the other hand, horses with fast speed are great for outrunning threats.
