'Mass Effect: Andromeda': BioWare Reveals Number Of Planets Featured

A recent "Mass Effect: Andromeda" video released by BioWare introduced players to the game's exploration elements. The developer reportedly revealed that the game will feature over 100 planets, but not every planet will be available for exploration. It is suspected that planet scanning feature from "Mass Effect 2" might come back and will be used to scour the other planets for resources and other objects.

Some sources have reportedly compared the number of planets featured in "Andromeda" with the numerous ones featured in "No Man's Sky". They described it as manageable and not excessive like the ones found on the latter title. It seems that the some reports mention it is already an acceptable scale of places for players to visit and explore during their gaming sessions. Game Rant mentions that the areas players can land on will most likely feature great characters, missions and challenges.

Some reports have suspected that BioWare is focused on quality rather than quantity with its more than 100 planets for "Mass Effect: Andromeda". The developer apparently hopes that their decision will be welcomed by gamers. In comparison, other studios are totally focused to come up with large worlds albeit with very few side missions. On the other hand, "Andromeda" continues to deliver unique experiences and a lot of extras to keep gamers occupied.

Polygon also notes that the developer added some nice touches to enhance the layer experience. Some moons and planets can be seen outside the ship's windows and changes based on the user's current location. It also seems like gamers will be able to participate in a lot of side quests on each of the worlds they can visit. The Nomad will be their primary mode of transportation when players are on the ground to make travel less time consuming.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" has just recently turned gold. BioWare's announcement of the number of planets available for exploration has most likely caused fans more excitement for the RPG. It is scheduled to launch on March 21, 2017 for the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
