'Ghost Recon Wildlands' Reveals Open World Map In Trailer; Dedicated Tool Chain, Rendering System To Come As Open Beta Launched

The "Ghost Recon Wildlands" developers recently featured the technology and tools used to shape the world of the upcoming first military shooter game. Moreover, Ubisoft is slated to talk at GDC about the vast and diverse open world of "Ghost Recon Wildlands". In a teaser trailer, the organization of the show provided fans a glimpse of adding terrain and the other features on the open world map.

Ubisoft Publishes Biggest Action-Adventure Game

It has been revealed that the open world shooter "Ghost Recon Wildlands" by Ubisoft Paris is the biggest action-adventure open world game ever published by Ubisoft, Dual Shockers reported. Furthermore, the game world has been noted to pack a wide variety of environments. On that note, "Ghost Recon Wildlands" is expected to be filled with mountainous areas as well as forests, deserts and salt pans.

Furthermore, a dedicated tool chain and rendering system were said to be designed for "Ghost Recon Wildlands". Moreover, the same system is said to be shared among several other projects. In the meantime, the lecture aims at describing some of the most important technologies behind "Ghost Recon Wildlands".

Ubisoft Lead Artist and Technical Art Director Benoit Martinez together with the Graphics Programmer Guillaume Werle is set to host the talk that will happen on Mar. 2, 2017. "Ghost Recon Wildlands" is slated to launch later on Mar. 7, 2017. Note that the game is expected to launch on PC as well as PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

Mini Game Released Before Open Beta Preload

In other news, the "Ghost Recon Wildlands" open beta has already begun. Previous to that, an interactive map-based mini game was released for gamers to try, Gamespot reported. The mini game, "A World With No Heroes" allows players to explore the Bolivian setting of "Ghost Recon Wildlands" through the eyes of 50 cameras tracking or identifying targets.

"Ghost Recon Wildlands" rewards may also be earned with the mini game. Note that the bonuses include unique emblems and XP boosts, among others. In the meantime, the full game's open beta that started on Feb. 23 is expected to run until Feb. 27. The beta includes two provinces--the Montuyoc and Itacua.
