As the official launch date for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" draw closer, fans are reportedly snapping up any new details about the game. Past reports have already disclosed the different crew members as well as some of different races players will encounter during their playthrough. BioWare lead designer Ian Frazier shares something new about armor, which fans can supposedly consider as a tribute to earlier "Mass Effect" titles.
The developers lead designer informed fans that they are bringing back the color customization featured in the last games from the series. His revelation is reportedly a response to a fan who asked if color customization will make its return in the latest entry of the franchise. Players were surprised when Frazier tweeted his response, which was more than what fans could have hoped for. Game Rant reports that he said "it is indeed. And now you can customize the colors on your casual outfits as well."
It appears Ian Frazier's reply confirmed what some players purportedly requested before during the development of "Mass Effect: Andromeda." Gamers can now apparently fully customize the Ryder twin's jumpsuits as well as their combat armor, which seems to be a welcome addition from BioWare. Further question from fans were unfortunately left unanswered, as some of them asked if the rest of the crew will also get the color customization feature.
In other news about the space-themed RPG, the developer shared a new video which showcases the game's combat. Various weapons were introduced, which ranged from different firearms from different galaxies of origin. Some of these weapons were built for long-range engagements or more up close and personal attacks. The player's skills were also showcased in the video, as reported by Polygon. Gamers can apparently choose to tweak different attributes in order to customize their own approach when it comes to battles.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" decision to leave behind the lore of Commander Shepard's time seems to be a risky move for BioWare. However, introducing a new galaxy, new species, new characters and returning features like the armor customization seems to gradual stepping-stone for players looking to experience a new adventure. The game is scheduled to launch for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 21, 2017.
