Nintendo Switch First User Reveals Home Screen Easier Than Wii U Prior March 3 Release

The Nintendo Switch may still be a few more weeks from releasing, Mar. 3, 2017. However, leaked footage of the console's Operating System User Interface have already been revealed online. Apparently, this user was able to take hold of his Nintendo Switch earlier than the rest.

Early Pre-Order Delivery Lets Fans Get New Scoop of Nintendo Switch

It is said that NeoGAF user Hiphoptherobot got his pre-order delivery of the Nintendo Switch earlier by mistake. The user then proceeded to upload a three minute video of the setup process of the Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, the user also revealed how the home screen and system menus of the Nintendo Switch was navigated, Shack News reported.

The video was able confirm previous reports that the Nintendo Switch OS user interface would sport minimalism and would transition quickly and smoothly throughout the menus. The Home Screen is said to be easier than the Wii U as it only contains a single row of spaces for game titles and the rest are submenus. Nintendo Switch users first have to connect to Wi-Fi and accept the user agreements.

Then, the Nintendo Switch will automatically feature a tutorial system for how to control the console. It should be noted that Nintendo Switch users no longer have to configure a Mii. Users may set up a user account and pick from a selection of preloaded user profile images on the Nintendo Switch. There are also multiple themes to choose from like the black night mode or the default whites and grays.

Nintendo eShop Purchases May Be Redownloaded

In other news, the purchases made on the Nintendo Switch eShop is said to be associated with a user account instead of a specific piece of hardware, IGN reported. Currently, when users buy a digital game for a Nintendo system, it may not be recovered and downloaded to another system. Previously, Nintendo Life confirmed that the Nintendo Switch UI would feature something different.

The Nintendo Switch console reportedly comes with a statement noting that a Nintendo account would contain Nintendo eShop purchases and current balance. Users only need to relink their Nintendo Account after initializing the Nintendo Switch. Hence, it may be possible to re-download any software or DLC purchased using a Nintendo Account.
