Ever since its first reveal, gamers have been anticipating any information about "Final Fantasy VII Remake." The RPG remake is currently still being developed by Square Enix, which has reportedly boosted its attempts to showcase their progress with the game. Players can recall that the last screenshot related to the game included a tribute from "Kingdom Hearts III." Fortunately for fans, the developer's latest screenshots feature Cloud and Barrett undertaking their first mission together.
Gamers who played the original RPG when it came out for the original Sony Playstation will mostly likely feel nostalgic. According to a report from IGN, Tetsuya Nomura revealed some new in-game shots of the game during the "Monaco Anime Game International Conference" (MAGIC 2017). The images shared by game director reportedly included one showcasing "Kingdom Hearts III" and two images from "FFVII Remake."
Reports noted that game director provided some fresh details about "Final Fantasy VII Remake." The director apparently "put a lot of attention into the combat system, and it's going to happen without interruption," says Nomura. He also confirmed that friendly-fire will not be an issue during combat. Moreover, the Square Enix RPG will reportedly feature destructible environments. Especially notable during the boss encounter with the Guard Scorpion, where "the scenery will be partly destructible," he adds.
Nomura reportedly admitted that he failed to reveal interesting information about the game last year, but also confirmed more updates in store for fans in 2017. He indicates that his development team wants to "show our progress at an event somewhere." The game director did not supply any clues about its release date, but notes that the RPG still has "a way to go."
It seems that some speculations still continue to indicate that the first chapter for "Final Fantasy VII Remake" will get a 2017 release date, despite Tetsuya Nomura's statement saying otherwise. Fans are aware of Square Enix's claims that each chapter of the RPG will apparently be a full-featured game in length.
