Wii U Wii Sports Club: Nintendo Offers Free Trial of Game To Celebrate Spring

Nintendo Offers Wii Sports Club For Free

It's not all bad news, Wii U owners! Nintendo saw success with its recent free Wii Fit trial and is continuning the trend with another free trial, this time of Wii Sports Club

Wii Sports Club is the next installment in the popular franchise and updates the classic Wii Golf, Tennis and Bowling games for the Wii U platform, with HD graphics, enhanced controls that utilize the Wii U Gamepad, and online play. There's also been an update to the game today that adds the Resort Course, a new nine-hole course in Wii Sports Club - Golf that was originally featured in Wii Sports Resort. It will be a permanent part of the game from now on, and it's nice to see them continuing to update it. (Now where's the Boxing?)

Starting on March 21 at 9 AM PT, Wii U owners can download and play the Wii Sports Club game for free until March 23 at 11:59 PM PT.

This is a much shorter trial than was given for Wii Fit, which lasted for a month in January, but the same kind of deal applies. Players who want to keep playing Wii Sports Club after March 23 can purchase a Day Pass for $1.99 in the Nintendo eShop to play all the sports for a 24-hour period, or you can buy a Club Pass that will give you permanent access to an individual sports for $9.99. That's a good deal if you're a big fan of Bowling and couldn't care about Golf, for instance.
