“Conan: Exiles” is a new title, placed within the Robert E. Howard universe of Conan the Barbarian.
The game has become quite popular about the controversial topics displayed within, among which a slider for the size of character’s genitals, and this has attracted a lot of attention towards the game, maybe, a bit too much.
Express UK reports that the “Conan: Exiles” servers have been down and inaccessible to players. Funcom, the game’s developers have announced that the reason behind the game’s failure is the high demand from gamers. The company they had first hired to host the servers of the game has come unprepared to the high numbers and cannot offer a hosting service at the moment. Funcom has apologized for the inconvenience, claiming that they themselves had no idea that the demand for the game would be so high. They are working on delivering official game servers, but for now, players can only rely on private game servers.
Game Rant reports that the talk of bringing players into a brutal, merciless world was not empty. The wasteland is ready to consume your dead body at any moment that you are reckless enough to let your guard down just a little. Danger hides everywhere and the most dangerous predator in the waste is other players who are ready on everything to survive for a day longer. Players can not only humiliate other players by killing them, but they can also humiliate NPC characters. Enslaving someone gives you full rights over them. You can make them to anything from dancing for you to being placed on a sacrificial platter for a small increment in the player’s stat points. Nothing is safe and no one is truly free in the brutal universe of the game.
The official Conan Exiles site has shared some of the future improvements coming to the game. One of them is Dyeing system which will allow you to further customize your character, by adding a color of your favor to their garment. Another interesting improvement is the introduction of the trebuchet siege weapon. This weapon will allow players to hurl rocks, explosives and even dead bodies at an enemy stronghold spreading destruction, disease, and turmoil through the whole settlement. Last, but not least, come animations added to enslaved NPC’s. At the moment NPC’s assigned to work on work benches or forges just kneel in front of the tool. In further improvements, there will be specific animations added for each action that the NPC may take on with the tool. “Conan: Exiles” is available through Steam Early Access for PC and XBOX One.
