"Injustice 2" have just recently revealed some its new fighters like Robin, Brainiac and Poison Ivy. However, Netherrealm Studios is reportedly preparing to introduce another character for its fighting game sequel. The developer is expected to reveal the new fighter's identity this Thursday.
The information was posted on their official website including the date of their official announcement. Unlike other fighting games, the teaser does not offer any kind of clue as to who the fighter will be. DC fans understand that the company has a lot of characters to choose from based on different comics from their company, reports Game Rant.
Most players reportedly like the current characters featured in the "Injustice 2" roster. The currently revealed fighters include Batman, Superman, Supergirl, Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Blue Beetle and more. However, fans have noticed that among the featured fighters, most of them come from the Batman series of comic books.
The villains are also well represented with Gorilla Grodd, Harley Quinn, Bane, Atrocitus and Deadshot with more on the way. According to Gamespot, the current roster still lacks 20 more characters. As of now, looking at the roster appears to confirm an even number of good guys and bad guys. The game's director Ed Boon event teased fans the possibility of adding characters from the Watchmen.
If the director's hints hold true, players should be able to see fighters like Dr. Manhattan and Rorschach. Some fans apparently also want to see guest characters from other franchises like Spawn and Sub-Zero. However, reports claim that what matters is the already large number of characters projected for the game.
"Injustice 2" is also projected to include some of the more odd DC characters, according to Boon. Gamenguide reports that the fighting game will give out Darkseid as free pre-order DLC. The game will also have a Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition, which includes more in-game content and goodies.
