"Mass Effect: Andromeda" has been confirmed to include Plasma rifle as one of its weapons. It has been confirmed by the lead designer, Ian Frazier, through his twitter account.
After teasing some details on the game's dedicated melee weapon slots and craftable "krogan-style" hammers last week, Frazier has now mentioned a self-made craftable plasma rifle. "Big Pew Pew", is the name of the Plasma rifle.
Frazier has been teasing information on his current playthrough. A fan even asks for a screenshot of the Big Pew Pew. However, Frazier just answered that he can't and also added that "it would be like looking into the Ark of the Covenant," PC Gamer reports.
While Frazier, couldn't post a screenshot of the said weapon still this piece of information is still helpful as this the only reliable source of information coming from developer like him. Also the Plasma rifle is "somewhat themed after weapons from XCOM," Segment Next added. The Kett, Andromeda's hostile aliens, seems to use a plasma technology.
From the looks of the circumstances, before crafting their own "Mass Effect: Andromeda" weapons, players might also have to scavenge technologies and parts which is the same as the weapon searching of aliens in XCOM games. Frazier, aside from teasing about the game's weapons also mentioned that the game will also be having a character build choices, as he himself was also running a pyromancer build.
Until then Ian Frazier is worth to follow in Twitter as he teases information from time to time. We shall continue to post updated information as the release date of the said game is fast approaching. So don't forget to stay tuned only here at GameNGuide.
