“Dishonored 2” the continuation of the story of Corvo Attano, the royal guard has been finally released. Even though it had a rough start, there was a free update released which fixed some of the initial problems which plagued the game. Now the second update has been released, bringing more fixes to the game and loads of additional content.
GamingBolt shares that one of the more anticipated additions to the game has finally gone live. This is the “Custom” difficulty mode, which allows players to adjust the difficulty of the game through 20 different sliders. In this mode, the player has the ability to set their preferences on all the major game mechanics, like the number of enemies allowed to attack you at once, the time needed for sleep darts to take their effect and many, many more.
Game Rant shares that the custom difficulty is not the only addition to the game. Now players will be able to choose a level on which to play. This comes as a relief to gamers who are trying to pass all challenges and get all the achievements in the game, without having to pass and repeat each level in consecutive order. Also, now players will be able to pass the game with the powers of both Corvo and Emily, no matter which character they have chosen, for as long as the game has been passed at least once.
The addition of free updates to “Dishonored 2” brings about the problem of paid DLC. Battlefield’s forums are among the good examples, as gamers show concern that the paid DLC content will split the game’s community in several different parts. Another big problem of the paid DLC practice was the release of “Batman: Arkham Knight”. Those who remember, the game was riddle with bugs on release and considered unplayable on more than half the PC’s it was bought on. When questioned about it, the response was that no fixes can come, as at the moment teams work on delivering the paid DLC’s. In this highly unpleasant era for gamers, it is good to see that there is a publisher who is ready to first fix the problems and bugs in the game, before releasing paid additional content. “Dishonored 2” is available on PC, PS4 and XBOX One.
