Xbox One Gets Two New Headsets From Turtle Beach, Available Today

New Turtle Beach Headsets for Xbox One, XO Four and XO Seven, Out Today

True, the Xbox One has Kinect so you can shout at it all you like so everyone can hear you bitch and moan about some spawn camper, and just in case the audio on your TV is garbage, you can hear the action well enough thanks to the included headset. But maybe you ripped it off your head and threw it into the wall across the room, shattering it into a million pieces. Or maybe you just plain don't like it. Good news if you have a spare Franklin or two collecting dust in your wallet, because Turtle Beach has some new headsets out today, specifically for Microsoft's next-gen console.

Announced over the summer, the XO series Four and Seven should now be on a store shelf near you.
The differences between the two sets? Glad you asked.

As a press release noted, the higher end of the two sets, the XO Seven goes for $159.95, and "is a premium headset built on the foundation of the tournament-grade SEVEN Series, with premium finishes including a padded headband and noise isolating ear cups with memory foam cushions. It also features interchangeable speaker plates so users can customise the look of their headset."

The XO Four is roughly the same, save being a bit more economical at $99.95. It lacks a breakaway mobile cable and "Noise-Isolating Memory Foam Ear Cushions." Both headsets feature 50mm Neodymium Speaker Drivers, but is described as "high performing" on the four, compared to "premium" for the Seven. Also, it was noted for the Four that "Not all features available with mobile game devices including game and chat volume mix control."

The Seven also sports swappable speaker plates. It's likely a difference only Superman or true audiophiles will notice, but the decision is yours.

They'll hit the UK next week, March 11.
