If you have not yet been enticed enough to get an Xbox One, and the idea of a Titanfall bundle wasn't enough to do it for you, how about a Forza Motorsport 5 package? Microsoft will be offering the Xbox One with a copy of the racing game for $499.99, the same as the console on its own, for a limited time.
The deal is only coming to select retailers in the US, Microsoft says, and won't be around for long. With the Xbox One lagging behind the PlayStation 4 in sales, the software giant seems keen to make its hardware move off the shelves faster by packaging it with good games for no additional cost.
I must say that I think more people would be more inclined to go for the Titanfall bundle if they haven't already been persuaded to get the console, but I suppose not everybody likes shooters. Titanfall is the bigger game (literally, too), but Forza Motorsport 5 is good in its own right and one of the better launch titles for the system.
I imagine this will boost hardware sales to some degree, though maybe not by a lot. It's only going to be a limited offer though in terms of locations and availability, so Microsoft is probably aware that it might not be a huge console-mover and the exclusivity of the offer should help.
The deal is going to launch sometime next week, but we're not exactly sure when at the moment. If you've been sitting on the fence about getting an Xbox One and racing games or Forza in particular appeal to you, this is as good of a time as any to buy.
