Xbox 360 gamers are waiting impatiently for Title Update 14 for Minecraft, which will implement a ton of cool features that PC gamers have had their hands on for quite some time now. Anvils that let you repair items, trading between non-player characters, new emerald blocks that can be used as currency- there's a ton of stuff on the way that's guaraneted to extend the life of the incredibly popular sandbox game even more.
A recent screenshot showed off the brand new user interface, how the trading system works and a few of the brand new food choices (Baked potatoes! Pumpkin Pies!). There's still no set release date, but while we desperately wait for more info on TU14 they have announced a new texture pack for the Xbox 360 Edition.
The City Texture Pack will hit XBLA on Friday, March 7th for a mere $1 (€0.95 / £0.65). As you can see from these two images it offers a lot of textures that are perfect for office buildings, skyscrapers, and even ships docked nearby your sprawling cityscape. All you need now is to add the recently-released Marvel Avengers Skin Pack and you'll be able to recreate superhero antics all around the city of your choice.
As for TU14, it's coming! The best place to keep an eye on for future updates is 4J Studios' Twitter page, which they update frequently on the progress. PS3 gamers don't fret- all of these texture packs and skin packs are in the works for your edition of choice too- 4J is working with Sony and Mojang to bring them out as soon as possible. More as we hear it!
