Sony is preparing to say goodbye to the winter (which hasn't quite left us yet here in New York) with some spring-time sales spread across the next few weeks. Through PlayStation Network, the company will be offering deals on several major franchises over the course of four weeks--let's dive in and see what deals ca be found.
The sales start this week with the Need for Speed franchise offered at a discount. PSN has three titles on sale for up to 66% off: Need for Speed: Most Wanted, NFS: Hot Pursuit, and NFS: The Run.
Most Wanted is probably the one I can recommend the most--it's definitely a good, fun game. If you have an itch for some driving games that needs scratching, now's the time.
PlayStation Plus members can get up to 80% off on the Need for Speed games, so you're looking at pretty good savings if you're signed up. The Playstation Plus discount applies to all of these sales to varying amounts.
The next week has sales on the Call of Duty franchise featuring some of the less recent titles, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2.
Week three has discounts on the Grand Theft Auto franchise, which may pique peoples' interests as GTA V is one of the games listed for sale. Sony says these are up to 50% off, but I imagine GTA V won't be the one getting that large of a discount. The other two games on sale are GTA IV and GTA Vice City.
The final week of the sale revolves around the Bioshock franchise. Bioshock Infinite, Bioshock 1, and Bioshock 2 are all on sale in the final week for up to 50% off. Bioshock Infinite is one you'll probably want to play if you haven't, so keep an eye out for the sale to begin.
