Apple Latest News & Update: Cupertino Company Sweetening iPad Pro 2 Release With Bundled Keyboard

Apple finds itself backed into a corner as it tries to ramp up the impending release of the iPad Pro 2. So far, Microsoft has upped the stakes with its own device offering in the Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

Looking ahead, it may be a close call between the two corporate rivals. Apple has drawn flak for sticking to low-key specs which include processors and built-in accessories. With the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 likely bundled with ones that could easily transform it into a laptop, the Cupertino company may consider the same.

For the iPad Pro 2, the word out is that it may include a built-in keyboard. Predecessors did have provisions for such only that it would have to be bought separately. The scenario could change in 2017 if Apple does bundle it with its next tablet offering.

The belief that the iPad Pro 2 could come out with a built-in keyboard is backed by a post from Chinese site Weibo. It narrates how an aluminum shell was spotted from one of Apple’s suppliers, rendering rumors that one could be infused once released to the market.

Aside from that, there are a lot to factor in as far as Apple’s iPad offering in 2017. For the iPad Pro 2, the Home button will allegedly be taken out and be bezel-free, Mac Otakara reported. The tablet is believed to be thicker than the current models out in the market with the headphone jack still in tow.

The iPad Pro 2 display will reportedly offer the same True Tone display as the current iPad Pro 9.7 with the resolution still sketchy. Three models are expected for 2017 – a 7.9-, 9.7- and a 12.9-inch model – with each catering to specific niches. The smallest will be catered to the entry-level buyers, the 9.7-inch as the recommended buy while the largest (12.9-inch) made for commercial and educational use.
