“Elite: Dangerous” has been around for more than two years bringing a lot of thrill, exploration, battle and problems along the way. Here are the newest updates on the game and what is happening with it.
The official “Elite: Dangerous” page shares a great announcement on its news segment. The title is becoming multi-platform, where a PS 4 version is expected to be released. The console version of the game will be released in the second quarter of 2017. For now not much more has been shared on the topic aside from the fact that the developers have tried to take maximum potential from both PS 4 and PS 4 Pro and utilize the full capabilities of the Dualshock controller. With the nearing of the project’s release date, more news will become available. Once the console version is released, expect to meet new people and experience a new form of communication like never before.
As the community expands, the problems will become more severe. If Frontier, the creators of “Elite: Dangerous” do not take this fact in mind, they may suffer some big losses, PC Games N reports. One of the biggest problems currently present in the game is “combat logging”. This is when a user force-shuts the game in order to escape confrontation with other players. This has put a lot of strain on the community to where players have staged and recorded “combat logging”, but the developers have not released any statements about the problem, neither patches for fixing it.
Zac Antonaci who is a community manager for “Elite: Dangerous” has released a statement that the instances of “combat logging” have been thoroughly followed by the developer team and they apologized for not answering tickets of concerned pilots. For now, “combat logging” is still a present issue which may push away new players if not fixed.
Even though there are a lot of problems present in the game, the community remains friendly and understanding. A proof of this clam is the act of “Chiggy”. MMO RPG reports that the “Elite: Dangerous” player traveled to the far reaches of space to help out a fellow who had ran out of fuel. After discovering him, they both worked together on acquiring the materials needed to get him back to civilization. A thorough video of the operation is available on the site.
