A new leak has just started to go around online and "Red Dead Redemption 2" fans may be shocked with the new information. An insider has revealed that the highly anticipated sequel will feature a gameplay and story that's similar to Rockstar's "Grand Theft Auto 5."
Rockstar Insider Speaks Up
According to The Daily Express, an insider from Rockstar hinted that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be similar to "GTA 5" when it comes to the gameplay and the story. Three playable characters will be included in the sequel.
"RDR2" Mimicking "GTA 5?"
In "Grand Theft Auto 5," fans have Franklin, Trevor, and Michael. It turns out that the developer wants "Red Dead Redemption 2" to have a connection with the "GTA 5" circle. The upcoming sequel to "Red Dead Redemption" will have gang hideouts and an open world gameplay.
John Will be a No-Show in "Red Dead Redemption 2"
The source said, "It'll be just like Redemption. Single player story. Open world, stranger events, gang hideouts and all that s**t." However, the biggest "Red Dead Redemption 2" reveal is the insider's last statement: "Three playable characters of John's former gang, and John isn't one."
With John out of the picture, fans can expect a whole new world in "Red Dead Redemption 2." John was the face of the franchise and it appears that Rockstar may be planning to fill in the gap of his loss with the arrival of three new characters.
The insider went on to drop another big leak. An online mode will be out for "Red Dead Redemption 2." If the source's statements are true, this is another similarity that the sequel will share with the popular "GTA 5."
Fans have had a lot of expectations, even before "Red Dead Redemption 2" was officially announced. It remains to be seen if the leaked information are all true but as early as now, fans are showing a lot of love for the "RDR" sequel that is slated for release sometime fall 2017. Stay tuned for more updates!
