This was a rough fight between Paige VanZant and Michelle Waterson in front of their fans, friends and family according to CBS Sport. This was a rough night for 115-pound contender Paige VanZant where she was hoping to get back into the strawweight title conversation. But, Waterson trained very hard to prove herself and not to disappoint her fans, which she didn’t. Waterson fought to the ground before getting Paige VanZant’s back and locked her rear-naked choke. Even though she gave everything to break out of it, she had to submit. This was a big night for Michelle Waterson since it was her second win since she joined UFC as a professional MMA record to 14-4. Paige VanZant is a very strong opponent but she has to train a more and to keep her focus full-time on fighting.
MMA Weekly reported that UFC Fight Night Sacremento ceremonial weigh-in was streamed live at 7 p.m PT, from Golden 1 Center in Sacremento, California where Paige VanZant fought against Michelle Waterson.
In the first round, Mirror reported that Paige VanZant was defeated to Michelle Waterson in the main event where Michelle Waterson read naked choked her for three minutes and 21 seconds in the first round. Paige VanZant tried to break out but after three minutes and 21 seconds, she had to submit. The 30-year old MMA professional who pulled a win at the main event at the UFC Fight Night, Michelle Waterson said she just wanted to show the world she can do it, she worked really hard and she was ready to face the challenge.
