The recently announced Venom comic is now getting the spotlight treatment as Marvel is slated to push the envelope for the beloved, symbiote-toting villain come March 2017. IGN has revealed that Marvel has heralded the month as "Venom Madness" .
According to the same publication, Marvel is scheduled to feature no fewer than 26 series in which Venom-themed variant covers will be graced. As such, each of these "Venomized Variants" will be treated with an iconic Marvel hero being possessed by the infamous symbiote. "Venom Madness" will also be featuring the much-awaited issue #5 in which the symbiote will be going up against Venom's arch-nemesis Spider-Man. Moreover, the said issue will be showcasing the first meeting between the web-slinging superhero and the nefarious villain along with a major, game-changing cliffhanger.
"Venom Madness" will also be en route to showcasing the firm's topnotch talent on illustration and storytelling. As per David Gabriel, Marvel's SVP on Sales & Marketing, "One of the coolest things about Venom is getting to see the symbiote bond with other Marvel characters. Well, we're taking the idea and dialing it up to eleven this March. Some of our top heroes are about to get a symbiote makeover, courtesy of the best artists in the business. Each of these mega-talented artists let their imaginations run wild, producing some truly (and frightening!) variant covers."
On the other hand, the month of March 2017 will likewise be featuring "Venom Madness" on books such as "All-New Wolverine,"Ghost-Rider," "Spider-Gwen," "Thanos," and "The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl." Meanwhile, some of the "Venomized" variant covers will be comprising of "All-New Wolverine #18 by Francesco Mattina," "Amazing Spider-Man #25 by Dave Johnson," Avengers #5 by David Marquez," and "Black Panther #12 by Elizabeth Torque."
