One of next year's most highly anticipated games is "For Honor," Ubisoft's latest hack and slash game. Currently, the studio's Alpha test is live, and one participant talks of matchmaking issues in new Ubisoft game. The user took to Reddit to break his NDA and rant about the matchmaking difficulties he encountered in the game.
According to WFFCTech, "For Honor"'s Aphla test is live, and some lucky gamers are able to get their hands on the game arriving February 14, 2017. However, one user was so frustrated about the matchmaking issues in new Ubisoft game that he went on Reddit to talk about it.
The user explained on Reddit how "For Honor" uses P2P connections instead of dedicated servers, thus making matchmaking slightly more difficult than usual. He wrote, "You spend a whole lot of time just sitting in menus or looking at the VS screen, it takes forever for matches to finally start."
The "For Honor" Alpha test player also added that it's frustrating to keep going back to the main menu when the matchmaking fails. He also questioned why, despite Ubisoft's "large budget," the decided to go with a peer-to-peer connection instead of provided dedicated servers.
According to VG24/7, there is now a petition for Ubisoft to create a dedicated server for "For Honor" instead of using the peer-to-peer connection for the upcoming game. "For Honor" will be released on Valentine's Day next year and it seems there is ample time for Ubisoft to act upon the feedback of most gamers from the Alpha test.
"For Honor" arrives on February 14, 2017, and is produced by Stephane Cardin. Check out the video below and comment on whether or not you want a dedicated server for the game's multiplayer mode.
