Minecraft's Title Update 14 (TU14) is coming soon to Xbox 360, bringing a whole slew of long-awaited new content to the game. A trading system, anvils that let you repair your items, and a brand new adventure mode? It's a plethora of goodies for addicted gamers, and they can't wait to see what it looks like.
Well wait no longer! As promised earlier this week during an announcement, 4J Studios has released this screenshot on Twitter showing off the new UI in the game. As you can see it shows off a 4-player splitscreen version in order to show you multiple features. The top left player is repairing things with an anvil, while the top right is trading with villagers using the new type of game block, emeralds, that act as currency. The bottom two players are checking out some of the new items and food types you can get via trading, and other means.
Minecraft: Pocket Edition will be getting updates shortly for gamers on the go but Xbox 360 gamers have been waiting two years for some of these features that are already standard in the PC edition. 4J Studios also confirmed that PS3 gamers will be getting these new features as soon as possible. You can pretty much count on regular updates for Minecraft for the forseeable future- the game is just infinitely expandable and gamers can't seem to get enough of it. Especially when they're constantly releasing new features and downloadable content, like Marvel Superhero skins.
Perhaps the feature Xbox 360 gamers will enjoy more than any other is the new Adventure Mode that TU14 will add. In that mode you can only break blocks with the right tools- your hands are useless. It's a bit like Don't Starve in that that's exactly your goal, with an emphasis on using the new food options to survive and stay strong enough to fight through enemies, hopefully finding shelter for the night in order to fight another day.
There's no definite release date just yet but we'll let you know as soon as there is. Until then, keep smashing those blocks!
