"NCIS" Season 14 has confronted various cancelation gossips after the departure of one of the cast members, Michael Weatherly in the Season 13 finale of the CBS dramatization. Now, rumors claimed that Mark Harmon will also be leaving the show soon.
According to News Every Day, the fourteenth period of "NCIS" is currently on a break, however theories about the show's future claimed that the show will be canceled for good. The long-time running police and action drama will be bidding goodbye soon, as Mark Harmon's rumored departure affected the show.
Reports guaranteed that the ratings of "NCIS" season 14 got diminished by 13.55 percent. The show's ratings has reportedly affected the network's decision to give season 15 of the show a green light. Although, "NCIS" season 15 was already stated to be given another season, it seems like the network had remain silent about a cancellation possibility after knowing their show's ratings.
Speculations also circulates that Harmon will be leaving the show due to his illness. Harmon who plays the team commander of the show, Leroy Gibbs might be bidding his goodbyes due to his health status.
"I have said often, there is nothing wrong with loving your job, and there is a lot to love here," Harmon said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "We have worked hard to get it to this place and [now] it is about taking an appreciation of that."
He had been the leader of the special agents in the show ever since its debut back in 2003. His departure might allegedly affect the TV series, if it were to continue. Rumors also claimed that Michael Weatherly who left the show after season 13 chooses not to return to the TV show, after learning that Harmon will be leaving. But, he is yet to respond to the reports.
As of now, no plot for "NCIS" season 15 had been released. Mark Harmon is yet to confirm if he will be leaving the show or not.
