Good news, next-gen gamers- you've got another big title to look forward to. Today Square Enix reported to Eurogamer that Murdered: Soul Suspect will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 as well as the current gen systems (Xbox 360, PS3 and PC) later this year.
Murdered: Soul Suspect has you playing a dead man. You're a detective that's been killed and is trying to solve his own murder, his ghostly form affording him some nifty powers in order to do so. For instance you can now walk through walls and doors, possess people and listen to their thoughts, seeing the world through their eyes and hopefully piecing together some more clues. Of course, you're not the only apparition around- other spirits have refused to move on and you can help them solve their own problems and move into the next world. There are other things out there that are much more malevolent that you'll have to watch out for too, however...
The next-gen versions will boast native 1080p output and offer new elements like subsurface scattered and increased particle count. There's no set release date for Murdered: Soul Suspect just yet besides sometime in June but with only a few months to go you can expect many more details about the game to surface shortly.
For an idea of how it plays you should check out Microsoft's lengthy Xbox One reveal, which they released yesterday. You can likely get an idea of how it will look on PS4 from this as well as a nice look at how the game works. New IPs are always appreciated, especially ones that let you justify your next-gen purchase! More on Murdered: Soul Supsect as we hear it.
