LingoZing App Lets You Learn A New Language By Reading Comic Books

Learning a new language is never easy. It takes a student an entire semester to learn French, Latin, Chinese and other universal languages. It takes immigrants a few months or years before they learn how to pronounce their new language properly. Good thing there's a new app that aims to help people learn a new language easier and not boring.

Kyra Pahlen started a company that created LingoZing, a new app that combines digital comics and graphic novels with an interactive interface that allows you to read and listen to the stories in multiple languages. Pahlen is convinced that learning a new language can be engaging and fun with this kind of platform.

"Anything that is audio/visual and fun is attractive to people, provided it is well put together," Pahlen said. I think that parents will be very happy that their children are drawn to something that can enhance their education and future life," she added.

LingoZing started their fundraising with kickstarter.com and will release six titles in the initial release. The titles will be available in English, French, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Users/readers can switch from one language to the other when they read the stories. They can also listen to it by activating the narration button. The app also allows for reading stories out loud via its voice recognition feature and returns a rating based on the reader's pronunciation.

LingoZing aims to release a minimum of 60 titles each year once it hits the market. They also aim to collaborate with the big publishers so they can offer clients with a bigger selection of stories.

Pahlen wants to work with schools so teachers will have a new way of teaching a new language to students. In today's world, students are more creative and tend to pay more attention to something when they can interact. LingoZing will definitely make learning a new language more fun in the future.
