We knew that it would be a good month for PS Plus subscribers already, with the news that Outlast would be released for free on PS4 via its Instant Game Collection. What we didn't know was just how good it would be. Sony has just announced the rest of the titles that will be available to download for free in February and let's just say that it's a shame that this is the shortest month of the year, because there's no way you'll be playing through all of these incredible games.
First up is of course Outlast, which is guaranteed to scare you silly. The biggest complaint from PC gamers seems to have been that it's so terrifying they could barely get through it. It involves an investigative journalist that's exploring an insane asylum, which is never a good idea. This is the latest in a series of great free games from PS Plus for the PS4 and is hugely anticipated.
Next for the PS3 we have a trio of acclaimed titles:
Metro: Last Light: This first-person shooter is set among and underneath the ruins of a post-apocalyptic Russia. Nuclear war has both rendered the surface uninhabitable and created a race of mutants and freaks, all of which you'll have to face in order to try and save humanity. It's a tremendous game, one of the best of last year.
Payday 2: If you thought GTA: V was the only heist game in town, you were wrong. Payday 2 encourages co-op play from a team of robbers, allowing you to case a joint before you run in and execute your plan, earning money to buy new guns and items that can help you on future heists.
Remember Me: Capcom's latest may have come in under the radar but it's a great third-person action title. The futuristic look of the game is remarkable, the story a little obtuse but still fascinating, involving a woman who can hack into people's memories. Well worth playing through.
Vita owners, Sony hasn't forgotten about you. You've got two titles to look forward to this month as well!
Street Fighter X Tekken - This probably needs no introduction. The mobile version is just as acclaimed as its console brothers so to get it for free is a treat, especially since you can fight people online on PS3 via Cross-play.
Modnation Racers: Road Trip - This is the mobile version of the hit cutesy kart racing game, one that lets you customize nearly everything in the game, much like LittleBigPlanet.
So once again Sony outdoes themselves with a month of PS Plus. How can they keep this up? Let's see what they have planned for March. Take a look at all of the selections below!
