As some gamers may have known, Nintendo will host an event on January 13, 2017 to officially reveal the Nintendo Switch into the public. However, there has been a leak involving the Nintendo hybrid gaming console, suggesting that Nintendo Switch can't keep up with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One's settings.
Nintendo Switch Leaked Devkit
According to iDigital Times, Nintendo Switch's devkit is leaked by one of Nintendo's insider, NWPlayer123 into the insider's Twitter account. The Nintendo Switch leak is complete with all of the upcoming hybrid gaming console's specs.
The publication reports that the Nintendo Switch would be featuring a 256 CUDA cores, max 1 GHz, 1024 FLOPS/cycle, a 4GB of RAM, 32GB storage Max transfer up to 400 MB/s, 1080p at 60fps or 4K at 30fps, and a 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports. The Nintendo Switch will also feature a FOUR ARM Cortex A-57 cores, NVidia second-generation Maxwell architecture, and a Capcitance method.
With that said, many Nintendo fans have hoped that Nintendo Switch will outshine the PS4 and Xbox One next year, but with the said NVidia Maxwell architecture feature, the chip is technically based on a Tegra X1. This means that the Nintendo Switch can only play last-gen games, but will have a hard time on playing current-gen games.
Meanwhile, other Nintendo insiders such as Emily Rogers and Takashi Mochizuki, currently post a statement on social media that the leaked Nintendo Switch devkit is an old feature for the Nintendo console. Both Nintendo insiders does have a good track record for providing accurate information regarding the Nintendo Switch in the past months.
With that in mind, there is no telling which is which until Nintendo confirms Nintendo Switch's features in the upcoming event in January 2017. For more Nintendo Switch news and update stay tuned to Gamenguide.
