With the upcoming Christmas holidays, many game developers are updating their gaming titles to add festive items or holiday-themed events. "Clash of Clans" is no different with Supercell teasing of unveiling details of its Winter event very soon.
"Clash of Clans" is set to receive updates that will introduce a special Winter-theme to the game. In a series of Twitter messages, Supercell hinted of several sneak peeks for its December update and information about balance changes.
One of Supercell's Twitter messages even contained an illustration of a snow globe with several trees surrounding a snowed-in structure. Posted on Dec. 13, Tuesday, it contained the line "Winter is Coming."
The gaming company appears to be paying homage to the famous HBO hit TV series "Game of Thrones." However, Supercell did not indicate other information about the upcoming "Clash of Clans" Winter update.
Recently, Supercell updated its Twitter to inform avid "Clash of Clans" gamers of the company's upcoming release of it Winter update patch. Supercell indicated that it will unveil "update news and balancing info" on Dec. 16, Friday.
Meanwhile, the gaming company recently revealed some of the enhancements that will come with the "Clash of Clans" Winter update. Posted on the game's official forums, Supercell unveiled an in-game snapshot that featured minor improvements to the troop icon graphics.
At this point, it is unclear if Supercell will introduce new gameplay enhancement or major changes to "Clash of Clans." Gaming speculations teased of a new game mode or a balance update for Town Hall 10 and Town Hall 11.
Other speculations indicated the potential addition of gem boosts or Winter-themed items. Gamers are also expecting to see new troops added to "Clash of Clans." Some fans even speculated that some "Clash Royal" troops might make an appearance in the game's upcoming Winter update.
