The last quarter of 2016 has been a whirlwind for the gaming community since a lot of great titles were released before the year ended. Some of the great video games that were launched were "Final Fantasy XV," "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon," "The Last Guardian," "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," and even the remastered version of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" is part of the list. 2017 will soon begin and it already offers a lot of great entries in the first quarter.
Based on reports, one of the exciting entries that will be included in January is "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" which is a prequel to "Kingdom Hearts 3" and it will be launched on Jan. 24. The survival horror game, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will also come out during the first quarter of 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Other January releases also included "Digimon World: Next Order," "Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers," "Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Curse King," and "Yakuza 0." Gamers can follow Kat's journey once again in "Gravity Rush 2."
The second of the first quarter of 2017 also has a set of great entries that include "Nioh," "Horizon: Zero Dawn," "Nights of Azure", and "Ys Origin." "For Honor" is one of the most anticipated Massive Online Battle Arena (MOBA) that will be released next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Fans of the "Lego" franchise will surely be happy since "Lego Worlds" will launch during the same month. The real-time strategy game, "Halo Wars 2" is going to arrive as well on Feb. 21 for Xbox One and Windows PC.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" from BioWare is also one of the big releases that are expected to come in the final month of the first quarter of 2017 even though it is not yet confirmed. "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is also anticipated to release during the same month, but Nintendo has yet to announce the official launch date. Other games that are included for the month of March are "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix," "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix," "Nier Automata," and "Star Trek: Bridge Crew."
