"Jurassic World 2" fans have been waiting for major plot details regarding the highly-anticipated sequel but the cast and crew have been mum about it. However, director J.A. Bayona talked about a few details regarding its plot while promoting his latest film A Monster Calls.
'Jurassic World 2' Major Plot Details
"Jurassic World 2" is expected to have a dark storyline as previously reported by GameNGuide. Fans can expect a scarier sequel according to its director. More so, the sequel may have a pseudo-political subtext. When Coming Soon asked if there will there be a similar pseudo-political subtext to this one, Bayona agreed.
"Yeah, you're right," he answered the website about the political subtext in "Jurassic World 2." "I think there's a lot of that in the new 'Jurassic.' I think there's a lot of possessiveness towards our creations." To recall, the first installment told the story of a fictional island of Isla Nublar with cloned dinosaurs.
Things got worse when the genetically made dinosaurs were able to escape the enclosure. The website added that the Jurassic movies always had an undercurrent about exploitation and commercialization of these animals. "Jurassic World 2" may continue along the same lines.
How 'Jurassic 2' Differ From other Bayona Films?
J.A. Bayona feels that "Jurassic World 2" is far different from other films. He says that the second installment is going to be very different from his latest project "A Monster Calls" or "The Orphanage." He added that fans might find similar things reminiscent of his previous movies.
"Jurassic World 2" will include most of the major cast from the first title, which includes Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard alongside Toby Jones and Rafe Spall and others. There are also speculations that Dr. Henry Wu (B.D.Wong) might return in the sequel.
There's no official confirmation on Jake Johnson's character for "Jurassic World 2." The movie is set to be released on June 22, 2018.
