The midseason episodes of "Vikings" Season 4 will introduce a more ruthless and vicious Ivar the Boneless. This is what Alex Høgh Andersen teased in a recent interview, when he said that Ivar is out to kill more Christians.
Ivar the Boneless is a different person going into the second half of "Vikings" Season 4. He is a changed man and he has his father, Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) to thank. Ivar's journey and experiences with Ragnar has taught him a lot of things, most importantly, how to be strong and brave.
However, this is not the only thing that Ivar the Boneless learns from his father. His newfound strength and courage brings out his dark side. Alex Høgh Andersen, who plays the crippled son of Ragnar Lothbrok, said that Ivar becomes violent and brutal in his dealings with people in "Vikings" Season 4.
Ivar the Boneless especially takes his frustration on the Christians. Andersen said that viewers should expect to see his character kill more Christians going into the midseason episodes of "Vikings" Season 4.
"I think he's been channeling that anger and violence into killing Christians. And that's definitely something you will see in Ivar in the future," Alex Høgh Andersen told TV Guide.
In the same interview, Andersen was asked what else fans can expect from Ivar the Boneless in the second half of "Vikings" Season 4. The actor revealed that Episode 14 will be a memorable moment for Ragnar Lothbrok and Ivar, because they finally get to have their father-and-son experience.
The Comic-Con trailer for "Vikings" Season 4 proved Ivar's ruthlessness and fearlessness. The preview showed Ivar the Boneless ride a chariot to war. Andersen revealed in a previous interview that going into the midseason, Ivar wages a war against those who killed his father. He goes into battle to avenge Ragnar Lothbrok's death.
