Since the Brangelina couple separated last September, Brad Pitt has only seen his kids a handful of times.
The 52-year old Allied actor wasn't able to see his kids at Thanksgiving, and he doesn't know if he can see them for Christmas. "Brad hopes to see the kids for Christmas at some point but when hasn't been determined," according to a source close to the actor.
After Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt separated, the couple has been involved in a bitter custody battle over their kids--Maddox (15), Pax (13), Zahara (11), Shiloh (10) and twins Knox and Vivienne (8). Jolie has filed for full physical custody, and Pitt agreed to visit them only when their child therapists approved. Apparently, the couple had a disagreement with each other's parenting methods. Not to mention that Pitt had the FBI and the LA County Department of Children and Family Services look into him for allegations of hitting one of the kids in a plane.
Brad Pitt tried to dispute the number of times he's allowed to see the kids--only once a week--but the their therapist didn't approve. As per the custody agreement between Angelina Jolie and Pitt, it's the child therapists who will determine the visitation rights. Since then, he has only seen his children a handful of times according to sources (one of them even claimed it's no more than four times).
The Allied actor was said to be upset when he didn't get to see his kids over Thanksgiving, despite the truce between him and Angelina Jolie. Unfortunately, it looks like Brad Pitt's chances of seeing the Jolie-Pitt kids at Christmas is also slim. The children haven't yet decided where they would go for Christmas and their therapists will not discuss the topic yet until the holiday gets closer.
Brad Pitt has filed for joint custody, but there's no court hearing yet about the issue.
