Android 7.0 Nougat is believed to be coming to a ZTE handset with several users in the U.S. already joining an Android 7.0 Nougat Preview Program. Note that the Android 7.0 Nougat packs multi-window and overall stability features. In addition, Motorola Germany reportedly announced which handsets will be receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat in early 2017.

It is expected that the handful of approved ZTE users will first enroll in the preview program with a ZTE USA account. In addition, the enrolment process has been noted to come with several surveys and a Non-Disclosure Agreement as well.
Axon 7 users are reportedly obliged to submit a report on bugs as well before getting the Android 7.0 Nougat. Furthermore, note that the Android 7.0 Nougat is believed to come to the phone in January 2017 along with other OEMS like Huawei. The update comes with new notification interface and key system updates, among others, according to report.
